THE STARTING POINT OF ALL ACHIEVEMENT
Creating intentions is the starting point in the use of the power of mind to create success. You need to decide what you want before you can get any tangible success in life. Your intention must be a burning desire within you not just a wish inorder for it to have enough power to drive you towards its attainment. Everyone has a wish to be successful, but the winners in life are those that are passionate about their desire.
There are steps that you need to take to achieve you intentions. First you determine what you want.
DEFINITENESS OF PURPOSE
The first step is to be clear and specific about what you really want. Definiteness of purpose clarifies your intetion. this makes it easy for your subconscious mind to bring into your awareness the exact steps or action plan you need to take to achieve your desire.
You do this by imagining you have no limitations at all.Then you ask yourself what would you be? what would you do? what would you have?
Ask yourself what you really want to achive in all areas of life such as finance, health, relationships,spirituality, career and lifestyle.
FINANCE
How much do want to earn? How much do want to save and invest? What would you like your networth to be? How much do want for your financial freedom?
HEALTH
How much do want to weigh? How do you want to feel and look like? How often do want to exercise?
RELATIONSHIPS
How do want to relate with your partner or family? If you are single, what qualities do want in your future partner?
SPIRITUALITY
How do connect with your inner self? What are your spiritual beliefs? What is your source of inspiration? What brings you emotional peace?
CAREER
What do you want to do in life? Who do want to work with? Do you want to be employed? Do want to do your own business? What brings you career satisfaction? What motivates you in your work?
WRITE DOWN YOUR INTENTIONS
Once you are clear and specific about your intentions, write them down. Unwritten intentions are merely wishes. You stand a great chance of achieving your goals by simply writing them down. Writing clarifies your ideas and enables easy focus.
BE POSITIVE
Write down your intentions in positive tense. Do not say, Im not obese, rather write, I weigh …….kgs/lbs
BE PRESENT
Make your goals in present tense. Your mind works better for things it can perceive in the present moment. For example wite your goal as, I have $10,000.00 by 30th june 20……
SET A DEADLINE
You need to set a deadline for the achievement of your desire. When you set a target date, you activate your sense of urgency. This motivates you to take action immediately towards your goal.
IDENTIFY LIMITING FACTORS
When your goals written down specifically,Identify all the limiting factors that could stop you from getting them.
Find out why you do not have them already. ask yourself what could stop you from getting your desire?
The more clearly you identify all the problems that you could face, the more easier it will be for you to resolve them should they occur.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
Find out what special knowledge and skills you may require to get your goal. Do you have all the knowledge you need for your intention. If not you may want want to learn from others or ask others to work for you.
Remember you are where you now because of the level of information and skills you have so far. To get any further you need to gain and use some new skills and expertise.
COOPERATION
No man is an island, you therefore need to cooperate with other people in-order to be successful. You may need your friends or family, customers and suppliers. You may need some mentors or somebody to coach you.
Be clear about whose cooperation you require. Find out what you can do for them to gain their full cooperation. Always make sure you add value for others too.
EFFECTIVE PLANNING
Having all the answers to that above questions, you now draw your plan. Make a list of all the tasks you need to undertake. Prioritise your list into a sequence of activities according to the their importance.
Write down the most important task then the second and so forth until you cover all the steps for the completion of your desire.
ACTION
After planning your work, you then work your plan. Discipline yourself to do the important tasks first then move to the next one until everything is finished.
